Background

The Christian Scholarship Foundation, Inc. (CSF) is a private, non-profit corporation created to provide financial assistance to members of Churches of Christ for scholarly activities of a religious nature. CSF seeks to perpetuate and foster the Restoration tradition of doing scholarly work in the service of the Church. CSF was founded in 1982. It was conceived and established to meet the special demands on professors and ministers who seek to understand and proclaim the gospel in the modern world.

CSF Mission

The purpose of CSF was broadly conceived to address a wide variety of needs, ranging from providing financial assistance to ministers and others engaged in research and writing, to funding symposia, scholarly discussions and other activities that may enrich the life and thought of the Church. Although it may eventually fund varied programs, it is currently intended to assist members of Churches of Christ enrolled in advanced graduate degree programs in religion and related fields who are teaching or who plan to teach religion or related subjects at a collegiate level.
